What were you expecting?
Were you expecting something more outragious then yesterday?
Well, you see, yesterday's post -- which I should have called "Project Speculum" (after all, it is the month for pink and red) was really just a set up so that you would not be disappointed (and maybe even a little relieved) to see this totally boring scarf that I made while traveling last week. Actually, I hope you are not too disappointed because it's kind of cool in reality. A mix of Berroco Quest and Berocco Optik. I have learned that you can take most any two yarns and mix them into a scarf as long as you make it long enough and skinny enough. That usually means I cast on ten stitches with size 11 or larger needles and continue for a minimum length of 50 inches.
I always try and have at least one of these types of project in my pile of UFO's. I get very nervous with more complicated projects because I fear that they won't turn out "right". But with this, I have very little expectation that it will be anything more than a long skinny scarf. No expectation. No disappointment. Maybe that's why 'they' say that the road to disappointment is paved with expectation. I bet its a long, skinny road!

Sparkly. And fluffy. Pretty.

I would love to be long and skinny! The scarf is beautiful as always, I do love your pushing the edge of knitting, it is always a wake-up call to go onto a blog and see something totally unexpected. It's refreshing. Reg
