April 10, 2006

It's a Manic Monday.

Closeknitapril2An impromptu gathering this weekend to celebrate Jenn's first East Coast visit from Seattle was an opportunity to catch up and share our latest projects. Perhaps it was the massive amounts of caffeine, the chocolate in the chocolate-chip coconut-banana-walnut muffins, our excitement at our friend's return, or just the sheer mania that results when knitters congregate, but it was all -out bedlam. Patterns were flying everywhere. Yarn was being thrown across the room for closer inspection. My lap top was engaged in some "have-to-buy-it-right-now" online ordering. That's Lindsey and Regina on the couch trying to figure out how to unwrap a double-wrapped yarn over. The white outline is surrounding my works-in-progress. It looks like a crime scene - and I should probably be arrested for too many outstanding projects. It took me a few hours to come down from this Knit-o-mania. I can't wait until next time!

Mmmm, that's the way I like my banana bread, loaded with goodies- even better with pecans instead of walnuts!

Sounds like a glorious weekend and it looks like you have a wip or two there.

Got my Yarn Minder's today - can't wait to try them out!

I can't think of a better way to spend a rainy Saturday!! Or a sunny Tuesday, for that matter...mmmm heaven!

I'm drooling unattractively on my keyboard - sounds like a blast!
