Unraveling Codes and Sweaters
Well, the big day has arrived. The opening of The DaVinci Code. The book certainly was a well-knit tale, so I'm thinking the movie should be good FUN, too. I only wish people would unknot their twisted knickers about this. Come on! It's a movie, for Christ, God, heaven, Pete sake. Can you imagine how ridiculous it would be if we all read ONE book that was written by some unknown author and we went around saying that we believe that it was the true word of God???? Oh, wait. That would be the bible, now, wouldn't it?
Have a large popcorn. Have a cold drink. Have a box o' raisinettes. Have a good time!
and have a GREAT weekend.

Amen Sister!

:) I was teaching religion at a Catholic all girls high school when the book became a sensation. Every student was reading it, and we had the best conversations in class.

I saw one of the actors on a show the other night and he was commenting on the controversy. he said he found it unexpected. "I bought my copy in the fiction section, not theology." My sentinments exactly.

I know! It was the same thing over Harry Potter. If a novel sways your religious beliefs? Unreal.

The movie is getting bad reviews--and not for its theology. Love the Mona Lisa knitting!

Actually Pete is a reference to St. Peter...so whose sake should be used?
