Cast on. Tune in.
Only a knitter could get as excited as I am about the Fall TV schedule. Actually, I've gone from giddy to excited to downright anxious about all the stuff I want to watch.
Last year's returning favorites: NIP/TUCK, House, Boston Legal, Top Model, Lost, Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, ER, The Office, Desperate Housewives, Without a Trace. Not to mention lots of L & O and CSI's. Plus I have to finish Runway and Celebrity Duets.
The jury is still out on some of the new shows that interest me: Studio 60, Standoff, Smith, Shark, Jericho, Kidnapped. Am I missing anything?
And I'm relieved that 24 and Medium don't start until January. And thank goodness I "tivo" everything, so I am spared watching zillions of commercials.
Boy, its good thing I love to knit, or I'd have to cut off my snacking hands!
Stay tuned!

I just watched the pilot episode of "Studio 60" tonight, and so far I'm liking what I see. I never watched "The West Wing", so it's not an Aaron Sorkin thing for me. "Studio 60" just seems to be a good show.
A show that I fear is being overlooked is "Men in Trees" on ABC Friday nights. Anne Heche stars as a relationship guru who, while on a book-signing and lecture tour in the small town of Elmo, Alaska, finds out that her fiance has been cheating on her.
Elmo is an isolated town, and due to the limited number of flights in and out (which can be canceled at any time by weather), she winds up stuck there, trying to get over her sudden doubts about her skills (a relationship counselor who's relationship implodes?), her anger at her fiance, her general misery.
She interacts with the locals at the hotel she's staying at, at the local bar, and around town, and comes to a realization - Elmo has a male to female ratio of 10:1. And the men seem open and willing to talk. She starts to learn interesting things about the male way of thought, and decides to stay and not only re-evaluate her whole relationship philosophy, but study men.
I've seen the first two episodes, and let me tell you - I didn't want to like it. But by the end of the pilot, I LOVED it. Take "Sex and the City" and cross it with "Northern Exposure", and that's "Men in Trees".
I'm looking forward to "Top Model". TV Guide's advance look at it a few weeks back showed there will be a pair of identical twins competing this time. That should be interesting!

I got SO much knitting done last night (I'm finishing a felted tote for a friend)! 9-10 I watched Sex & the City reruns...then I flicked to Smith. I was hooked. No TIVO in our house just a VCR so we have taped Studio 60 - tonight's viewing. Watch those needles fly.

There is a lot of great TV on! I have to say that I don't really like Standoff though.

I watched Smith last night and enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the opening of Grey's Anatomy. they did some filming in my area...i missed Patrick Dempsey..but the actors like to hangout in the area so it is just a matter of time before I get my own first hand view of that Hunk!
I loved your photo today....so much yarn! so little time!
p.s. how cool is this.....3 of the 4 comments are from "jennifers, Jens, and Jenns"....you are surrounded

Probably you've missed something - it seems as if this year is a really good one for TV! I keep missing the premiere episodes though. Grrr.
