A Country Mouse
One of the best things about living in CT is that you can get in the car, drive an hour North and be in the most beautiful countryside. Especially at this time of year. It wasn't THE peak Fall weekend, but it was incredible weather for pumpkin picking and window shoppping. My guy and I took off on Saturday morning for Simsbury, CT. We stayed overnight at the
Simsbury Inn (very nice), went shopping on West Hartford and stopped in to visit my GKT Kits at Sit N Knit and had a nice dinner at an old inn called the Pettibone Tavern - which they say is haunted, and which I wouldn't believe, except that when I took the picture outside, this is what I got:
I didn't do much knitting - but I took along a small project with me that I could pick up here and there.
It's a wrist support for using a mouse.
Action photo: View this photo I made it out of the same organic superwash that I used for the cabled purse.
It's probably one of the silliest things I've ever made, but it was a manageable travel project and when I sit at my desk, it will be a pleasant reminder of a very pleasant weekend.
How was yours??

It sounds like a very nice weekend! And I don't think that wrist rest is silly! It's ergonimically correct!
BTW, I'm going to be forwarding the 7 or so entries to the Knitflix contest to you and tell you my votes. I'll probably do this tomorrow. :-)

I agree with Jennifer - the wrist rest is a good idea. My weekend was relaxing. My mom's visiting, so I tried to hang out with her as much as I could. I got two sleeves finished on a hoodie I'm knitting.
