CODE BLUE

GreysWhen will I learn to put down my sticks and stop knitting when whatever is happening on the TV show I am watching requires more of my focus than the project in my hands??  When the lead character in the show is pulled from the icy waters, is completely blue, not breathing and is coding on the table, you would think that I would have the good sense to realize that I should probably stop knitting.

Why is it that I think that I can continue to follow the action, yarn over, grab a Kleenex, and read the pattern as McDreamy crumples to the floor and Meredith fights for her life. This is not multi-tasking. This is a knitting accident waiting to happen.

Well, perhaps last night I learned my lesson once and for all. Because as Grey turned blue and everyone flocked to Shepherd, my latest project turned into my most recent knitting disaster.

Now, we all know that, next week, Grey will - miraculously - pull through and live to whine another day.  But stay tuned, because the fate of my blue capelet still hangs in the balance.

That is too funny - I had to put my kniting down & was smart enought to do it in thebeginning of the show.

I have no idea what show you're talking about, but if somebody who fits the description "McDreamy" is at stake in any way, good heavens!!!! I'm sure your McCapelet will pull through! I just have that there will be frogging.

I've been trying to not multi-task when grey's is on but I've been sick for a week and needed to catch up on work stuff so I was on my computer. I can't remember at what point where I just stopped, sat down, watched, and started bawling!!!!!!!!! thank you telling me that she's going to be okay--how did that miss that part??? You'd think it was my own girlfriend coding on the table!!!

Yeah, an emotional and surprising Grey's mixed with knitting is an accident waiting to happen. I hope the capelet pulls through!

What was Izzy yammering about at the end? :? I was working on a hat. I can st st while anything is going on. *L*

I've got my fingers crossed for your capelet.

I am so with you on this one. I did put my knitting down when Meredith was carried from the icy water by the handsome and quite knightly McDreamy. Good look my fingers are crossed for you McCapelet.

Oh, wow! I messed up the moss stitch panel of an Aran sweater I was working on. Do hope your capelet comes back to life.

Thankfully I had a garter stitch project going during it all! I could still watch/listen and I knew my knitting would be okay! Good luck with your capelet!

yeah, I've kind of given up on the knitting during Grey's just for that reason! I will have your capelet and Meridith in my thoughts! I can't wait to see what happens tonight ;)
